Increases the monthly needs allowance from $50 to an unspecified amount. Clarifies that the needs allowance is not intended to replace or affect funds received from the federal supplemental security income program. Requires certain long-term care facility operators to pay for generic toiletries, linens, and meals and snacks. RELATING TO KUPUNA HOUSING.

Temporarily expands the state rent supplement program to specifically target qualified individuals who are sixty-two years of age or older and are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Requires HPHA to submit annual reports to the legislature. Appropriates funds. Repeals 6/30/2026. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE STATE ARCHIVES.

Expands the uses for the state archives preservation and long-term access special fund from the preservation of and long-term access to government records only, to include photographic, phonographic, and audio-video records and collections that have a unique historical value or are related to Hawaii's diverse ethnic and indigenous cultures. Establishes additional funding sources for, and authorizes additional expenditures of moneys from, the state archives preservation and long-term access special fund. Appropriates moneys.
