Provides public employees with up to 2 hours of paid leave each calendar year to attend a scheduled physical examination with a licensed physician.
Increases the Motion Picture, Digital Media, and Film Production Income Tax Credit for qualified productions when certain percentages of its below-the-line positions are persons who file income tax returns in the State.
Prohibits non-compete and non-solicit clauses in employment contracts relating to employees of a restaurant, retail store, newspaper, magazine, news agency, press association, wire service, or radio or television transmission station or network.
Establishes a paid family leave program for state and county employees. Authorizes a qualifying employee to take up to 12 weeks of paid leave for the birth or placement of a child or to care for a family member who has a serious health condition. Requires the employee to agree to subsequently work for the employer for at least 12 weeks upon return to service except under certain conditions.
Requires the department of education to develop and implement safety training for all cafeteria student helpers and ensure the student helpers receive the training prior to them volunteering.
Allows up to one dwelling per quarter-acre in rural districts.
Establishes a tax credit for commercial property owners that make available parking spaces within the owners' parking lots for use by peer-to-peer car-sharing platforms. Applies to taxable years after 12/31/2022.
Creates a five-year pilot project for counties with a population of less than 200,000 to regulate the operation of hosting platforms that provide booking services for transient accommodation operators. Requires a report to the Legislature. Repeals on 6/30/2029.
Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, requires the Department of Education to include the teaching of financial literacy in the personal transition plan requirement for each student.
