RELATING TO THE STATEWIDE TRAFFIC CODE.

Prohibits smoking in a motor vehicle in which a person under the age of eighteen is present. Requires the department of health to report on the enforceability of this Act and coordination of related data collection activities of the respective law enforcement agencies. (SD1)

RELATING TO BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS.

Requires department heads to inform the governor of any vacancy in any board or commission. Requires the governor to maintain a listing of all boards and commissions including specified information. RELATING TO FIREARMS.

Clarifies that failure to register a firearm within the required time period does not relieve the owner of the duty to register the firearm. Allows the owner of an unregistered firearm to register the firearm thereafter without penalty. Takes effect on 1/7/2059. (SD2)

RELATING TO THE LAND USE COMMISSION.

Provides the Land Use Commission with the power to amend, revise, or modify a decision and order granting a district boundary amendment, or fine a petitioner, when there has been a finding by the Land Use Commission that a petitioner or its successors or assigns have not adhered to the conditions imposed by the commission, regardless of whether there has been substantial commencement of use of the land. Defines "substantial commencement". Effective March 15, 2094. (SD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONERS.

Requires health care providers to conspicuously post and communicate their specific type of licensure in their offices, communicate that information to patients in their practices, and include that information in their advertising. Imposes penalties for licensed health care providers who include deceptive or misleading information about their qualifications in their advertising, or misrepresent their qualifications to patients.
