RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION.

Requires that workers registered with the department of health's medical cannabis program be reimbursed for the out of pocket cost of medical cannabis through the workers' compensation system in certain circumstances.

RELATING TO HEARING AIDS.

Requires health insurance policies and contracts issued after 12/31/19 to provide coverage for the cost of hearing aids at a minimum of $1,500 per hearing aid for each hearing-impaired ear every 36 months. Exempts mandatory health care coverage from impact assessment report. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO THE HAWAII TOURISM AUTHORITY.

Requires and appropriates funds for the Hawaii tourism authority to promote Hawaii's efforts to protect the environment, marine life conservation districts, and coral reefs and provide guidance on the dangers of sunscreens that contain oxybenzone and octinoxate and how tourists can help protect Hawaii's environment.

RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH.

Requires the Department of Health to establish a working group to examine and advise on amendments that can be made to the statutory description of the Department's powers, duties, functions, and responsibilities. Authorizes the working group to evaluate the health impact assessment tool. Appropriates funds to support the activities of the working group. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO TOURISM.

Establishes a professional tour guide certification task force to determine whether it is appropriate to require persons who use various state resources for commercial purposes or apply for various commercial use permits to hold and maintain certification or meet certain minimum requirements, recommend existing certificates or certification programs that may be appropriate, and make recommendations and plans regarding any necessary certifications and certification renewals. RELATING TO THE WAIANAE COAST COMPREHENSIVE HEALTH CENTER.
