RELATING TO TEACHER RECRUITMENT.

RELATING TO TAXATION.

Provides an income tax exclusion for certain public school teachers. Defines eligible teachers as full-time school teachers, special education teachers, school librarians, and school counselors employed by the Department of Education or a charter school. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENTS.

Defines "cultural assessment" and "cultural impact assessment". Requires cultural assessments to be available for public review and comment in connection with draft environmental assessments. Requires a cultural impact assessment if an agency determines a proposed action may have a significant effect on the environment. Takes effect 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE REGISTRATION.

Provides that any authorization by a county director of finance for an electronic method of motor vehicle registration, including the acceptance of any supplemental documents in electronic form, shall extend to all types of motor vehicles and intermodal equipment. Takes effect 1/1/2021. (SD1)

RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Amends the minimum qualifications for nominees to the State Public Charter School Commission to require residency in the State. Provides that commission members may be reimbursed for necessary and reasonable travel expenses incurred in the conduct of official commission business.

RELATING TO LONG TERM CARE.

Requires the Executive Office on Aging to assess progress toward the policy goals identified by the Long Term Care Commission and to formulate recommendations on how the State can meet these goals. Requires a report to the Legislature. Appropriates funds. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)
