RELATING TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION.

Authorizes the Public Utilities Commission to establish preferential electricity rates for communities that serve as geographic hosts for energy projects. Requires an energy project developer to work collaboratively with a host community to develop a community benefits program and to fund a majority, if not all, of the contributions and support for the community benefits program. RELATING TO SIDEWALKS.

Establishes and funds a two-year pilot school sidewalk maintenance and repair program that requires counties to maintain and repair sidewalks in school zones or other areas of significant school related pedestrian traffic. Requires each county to report on the status of the pilot program.

RELATING TO THE ENVIRONMENT.

Requires lessors of rental motor vehicles to include an option for the lessee in the motor vehicle rental agreement to contribute a sum to DLNR for the preservation and protection of the environment, commencing on January 1, 2020. (HB1570 HD1)

RELATING TO PRIVATE PROPERTY.

RELATING TO LAND RECORDATION.

Establishes the requirements that any plan of land for deregistered land must meet for recordation at the bureau of conveyances. Requires that any plan of land that involves deregistered land that is filed with the registrar of conveyances must be accompanied by data on the deregistration. (HB617 HD1)
