RELATING TO SEX OFFENDERS.

Prohibits a sex offender from residing within two thousand feet of the sex offender's former victim or the victim's immediate family members. Requires the sex offender to receive approval from the Attorney General prior to a change in address. (SD1)

RELATING TO DECEPTIVE TRADE PRACTICES.

Establishes that charging shipping and delivery charges that exceed the actual cost to ship or deliver a commodity to a consumer in Hawaii constitutes an unfair and deceptive practice. Effective 1/1/2050. (HD2)

RELATING TO TAXATION.

Amends the amount of the rental motor vehicle surcharge tax to an unspecified amount for any county with a resident population of more than 125,000, but less than 195,000. Allocates the increase in surcharge tax revenues to the county's subaccount within the state highway fund. Effective 1/1/2050. (HD1)

RELATING TO SUSTAINABLE SCHOOLS.

Requires the department of education to establish food waste and zero-emission vehicle goals as part of the sustainable schools initiative. Requires an annual report to the legislature. Effective 7/1/2050. (HD1)

RELATING TO TELECOMMUNICATION.

Requires the office of enterprise technology services to establish a working group to conduct a study to identify state office buildings that can provide equitable telecommunication access to allow residents of the counties of Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui, and rural areas of the city and county of Honolulu, including residents with disabilities, to participate remotely in legislative hearings. Requires a report to the legislature. Dissolves the working group on 6/30/2022. Effective 7/1/2050. (HD1)
