RELATING TO HEALTH.

Establishes a task force to review policy issues and opportunities relating to the navigation, access, and coverage of medicaid services by individuals with autism or fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and make a recommendation on whether a waiver or other approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is necessary to ensure accessibility of certain services for individuals with autism or fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. RELATING TO INSURANCE.

Clarifies that the existing health insurance mandate for coverage of low-dose mammography includes coverage for advancing methodologies of digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis. Sunsets June 30, 2024. (SB1034 HD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH CARE INSURANCE.

Prohibits a health care insurer from requiring an insured diagnosed with stage two cancer to undergo step therapy prior to covering the insured for the drug prescribed by the insured's health care provider, under certain conditions. Requires analysis and report by State Auditor to determine if federal ACA provisions or state sunrise analysis requirements have been triggered. (SB493 HD1)

RELATING TO HISTORIC PRESERVATION.

Makes it a civil and administrative violation for any person to knowingly and intentionally engage in certain archaeological activities without obtaining the required permission or approval from the department of land and natural resources, use explosives in land development or alteration activities subject to historic review, and violate or fail to carry out any agreed upon mitigation condition or commitment. Effective 7/1/2050. (HD1)
