RELATING TO THE HAWAII FARM TO SCHOOL PROGRAM.

Establishes a farm to school grant pilot program within the Department of Agriculture to provide grants to participants in the Hawaii farm to school program. Requires the Farm to School Coordinator to report to the Legislature. Makes appropriations. (HB2497 HD1)

RELATING TO PRESCRIPTIVE AUTHORITY FOR CERTAIN CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGISTS.

Convenes the prescriptive authority study group to explore options and make recommendations to the legislature relating to granting clinical psychologists prescriptive authority privileges.  Requires the prescriptive authority study group to report to the Legislature prior to the Regular Session of 2019. RELATING TO COMMERCIAL OCEAN RECREATION.

RELATING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

Provides that funds received from the federal government for the purpose of addressing domestic violence and moneys from the Emergency Medical Services Special Fund shall not be distributed to a law enforcement agency or emergency medical services agency whose policies, procedures, and training for personnel and supervisors do not formally require lethality assessments and safety planning with victims of domestic violence. Takes effect 7/1/3000. (HB2135 HD1)

RELATING TO QUEEN LILI‘UOKALANI DAY.

Establishes Queen Lili‘uokalani Day on the first Monday in the month of September each year, rather than on September 2, in order to coincide with Labor Day.

RELATING TO MEDICAL EDUCATION.

RELATING TO HOMELESSNESS.

Establishes within the Department of Human Services a Hawaii County Homeless Villages program. Waives applicable state permitting and construction fees for the program. Exempts the State from claims arising out of the provision of housing or services to homeless persons. Establishes the homeless villages special fund. Provides immunity from civil liability to volunteers and state employees who provide housing or services to homeless persons. Appropriates funds. (HB2461 HD1)
