RELATING TO LOAN REPAYMENT FOR HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS.

Appropriates funds to the DOH for the health care provider loan repayment program administered through the John A. Burns School of Medicine of the University of Hawaii at Manoa; provided that the funds are matched on a dollar-for-dollar basis by a private or another public source. (HB902 HD1)

RELATING TO HUMAN SERVICES.

Authorizes the Department of Human Services and the Department of Health to contract the services of or employ dedicated capture managers responsible for securing grants and other funding opportunities for each department. Appropriates funds. (HB660 HD1)

RELATING TO LIVE ADULT ENTERTAINMENT.

Imposes a per person, per day admission tax on certain live adult entertainment businesses. Imposes filing, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements. Deposits moneys collected from the tax into the human trafficking victim services fund.

RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES.

Prohibits a person from intentionally or knowingly manufacturing, importing, installing, reinstalling, distributing, selling, or offering for sale any counterfeit supplemental restraint system component, nonfunctional airbag, or airbag that does not meet federal safety requirements with the intent that such device replace an airbag in any motor vehicle. Prohibits a person from intentionally or knowingly selling, offering for sale, installing, or reinstalling in a motor vehicle any device that causes the motor vehicle's diagnostic systems to fail to warn that the motor vehicle is equipped with a counterfeit supplemental restraint system component or nonfunctional airbag or that no airbag is installed, as applicable. RELATING TO TOURISM.

Establishes the Convention Center Repair and Maintenance Special Fund and the Convention Center Emergency Special Fund. Allocates a portion of transient accommodations tax revenue to those funds. Removes repair and maintenance as permissible uses of the Convention Center Enterprise Special Fund. Requires annual reports to the Legislature. Effective 7/1/2100. (SD1)
