RELATING TO ELECTRIC FOOT SCOOTERS.

Establishes a framework for the regulation of electric foot scooters by the State and counties. Amends definitions of "moped" to exclude electric foot scooters. Takes effect on 7/1/2050. (HD2)

RELATING TO A FOOD HUB PILOT PROGRAM.

Requires the Department of Agriculture to establish a five-year food hub pilot program to increase access to local food. Provides for the award of grant funding by qualified applicants wishing to establish or expand a food hub. Requires reports to the legislature. Appropriates funds. Takes effect on 7/1/2112. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE ELDERLY.

Establishes the offense of financial exploitation of an elder and provides enhanced penalties. Amends mandatory reporting requirements for suspected financial abuse of an elder. Requires DHS to share records with the appropriate county police departments or offices of the prosecuting attorney. Effective 12/31/2059. (HD2)

RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII PROMISE PROGRAM PLUS.

Establishes the University of Hawaii promise program plus to provide scholarships for the unmet direct cost needs of qualified students enrolled in bachelor's degree programs in teaching, health care, social work, or engineering at the University of Hawaii who commit to work for at least three years in Hawaii. Appropriates funds to establish, implement, and manage the program. Takes effect on 7/1/2050. (HD1)
