RELATING TO HEALTH.

Requires health insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations to provide coverage for medication used for the treatment of obesity or weight loss management for a covered individual who is overweight and has one or more related comorbidities.

RELATING TO EQUAL PAY.

Conforms statutory prohibitions against wage discrimination with other prohibitions on employment discrimination. Clarifies allowable justifications for compensation differentials and remedies for pay disparity. Requires employers to disclose wage ranges to employees and prospective employees. Exempts wage disclosure and discussion from the prohibitions on employer retaliation or discrimination if knowledge of the wages stems from human resources, payroll, or legal professional responsibilities in the workplace.

RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

Provides police officers who become members of the ERS after 6/30/2023 with retirement benefits similar to those provided for members of the ERS who became members before 7/1/2012, including but not limited to calculation of retirement allowance, minimum age or years of credited service requirements, and vesting period. Allows retired police officers hired after 6/30/01 to be treated as if employment began before 7/1/01 in order to maintain spousal health benefits.

RELATING TO SOCIAL WORK.

Requires the department of public safety, or its successor agency, in collaboration with the department of human services, to develop and establish a social work training program to assist nonviolent incarcerated individuals in the area of social work. Requires progress reports on the program to the legislature. Appropriates funds. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD2)

RELATING TO HEALTH CARE SERVICES.

Exempts gross proceeds from medical services provided by physicians and advanced practice registered nurses acting in the capacity of a primary care provider from the general excise tax. Effective 1/1/2024.

RELATING TO ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSES.

Authorizes advanced practice registered nurses to certify whether a person is totally disabled under the income tax code. Adds advanced practice registered nurses as primary providers in advance mental health care directives. Authorizes advanced practice registered nurses to make capacity determinations for purposes of advance mental health care directives. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE SUPPLEMENTAL NUTRITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM.
