RELATING TO AMBULANCES.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Health for the purchase of one advanced life support ambulance based in Makalei in the county of Hawaii, and related equipment and personnel costs. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO THE MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE SPECIAL FUND.

Authorizes the mental health and substance abuse special fund to be used for certain capital improvements. Requires the Department of Health to identify, among other things, capital improvement projects that should be made with moneys from the mental health and substance abuse special fund to improve the continuum of care for behavioral health and submit a report to the Legislature. Repeals on 6/30/2025. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Extends the state-funded medical assistance provided to pregnant women for up to twelve months post-pregnancy in certain circumstances. Allows additional medicaid insurance coverage to women and their newborn children for health-related issues because of tobacco, alcohol, or opioid use during pregnancy. Appropriates funds. RELATING TO INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS.

Specifies that the cost of regional infrastructure improvements made by the Hawaii housing finance and development corporation may be assessed against transit-oriented development projects specifically benefiting from the improvements. Requires the Hawaii interagency council for transit-oriented development to review and make recommendations on applications for subaccount funds for infrastructure projects related to transit-oriented development.
