RELATING TO CHARTER TOUR OPERATORS.

Permits charter tour operators to maintain client trust accounts in a federally insured financial institution outside the State; provided that the charter tour operator agrees to allow the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs to access the tour operator's financial records related to client trust accounts through the financial institution. RELATING TO SCHOOLS.

Establishes a mark licensing agreement program within the Department of Education. Authorizes the Department to register trademarks and service marks for department programs and individual department schools and enter into licensing agreements for their use. (SB1099 HD1)

RELATING TO SCHOOLS.

Establishes a Workforce Readiness Program within the Department of Education to allow students to graduate from an extended high school enrollment with a high school diploma and an industry-recognized associate's degree. Appropriates moneys to develop and implement the program. (SB298 HD2)

RELATING TO PUBLIC SAFETY.

Requires the Department of Public Safety in collaboration with county and state agencies and, upon request of the inmate, to issue civil identification cards to the inmate and to assist the inmate in obtaining the inmate's birth certificate, social security card, and other relevant identification necessary for successful reentry into society. RELATING TO CAMPAIGN FINANCE.

Establishes an exemption from the prohibition against using election campaign funds to make charitable donations or to award scholarships during the period from the filing of nomination papers to the date of the general election, for candidates who are already declared elected to office after running unopposed in an election or who would be unopposed in the general election. Takes effect on 1/7/2059. (SD1)
