RELATING TO INCARCERATED WOMEN.

Appropriates funds for the second year of the program to train incarcerated women to be general education development tutors for their peers, provide college correspondence courses for women in the women's community correctional center, and provide reentry and transition services for women wanting to continue their education post-incarceration. Authorizes partnerships between the department of education, University of Hawaii, and department of public safety. Appropriates funds. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Directs the Hawaii housing finance and development corporation in cooperation with the counties and other housing experts to study the implementation of leasehold housing on publicly-owned, non-ceded lands near public transit stations in each county.
