RELATING TO GEOTHERMAL ROYALTIES.

Establishes the geothermal energy resources development special fund. Requires annual reports to the Legislature. Redistributes geothermal royalties to the counties for specific purposes, geothermal energy resources development special fund, department of land and natural resources, and office of Hawaiian affairs. RELATING TO CRISIS INTERVENTION.

Establishes an expanded crisis intervention and diversion activities program within the department of health to expand existing activities to divert those with mental health issues to appropriate health care services. Defines "crisis center" and "crisis intervention officer". Authorizes a person believed to be imminently dangerous to self or others by a law enforcement officer to be assisted by a crisis intervention officer and transported to a designated crisis center. Appropriates funds for the expanded crisis intervention and diversion activities program and for certification of law enforcement officers in mental health first aid by the department of health. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO MAUI'S PERMANENT HOUSING RECOVERY.

Establishes within the Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism the Interagency Council for Maui Housing Recovery to coordinate and facilitate Maui's permanent housing recovery and facilitate consultation and collaboration between state and county agencies on housing recovery initiatives for the island of Maui. Designates the executive director of the Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation to serve as chair of the council. Makes an appropriation. Sunsets 6/30/2034. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD2)
