RELATING TO AN UNDERGRADUATE HEALTH SCIENCES ACADEMY.

Establishes an undergraduate health sciences academy to be administered by the University of Hawaii-West Oahu and John A. Burns School of Medicine to increase recruitment and retention of Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, and first generation college students. RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Requires the Department of Education to create a comprehensive plan to establish alternative learning schools in each complex area in the State. Requires the Department of Education to submit the plan to the Legislature prior to the 2019 Regular Session. Describes students who will be served by alternative learning schools.
