RELATING TO HUMAN SERVICES.

Authorizes the Department of Human Services and the Department of Health to contract the services of dedicated capture managers responsible for securing grant and other funding opportunities for each department. Authorizes the Department of Human Services and the Department of Health to establish a three-year full time temporary exempt position to support the grant development program. Appropriates funds. RELATING TO SPORTS MEDICINE.

Provides a limited exemption from state licensure requirements to out-of-state physicians who accompany a sports team to a specific sporting event in Hawaii or are invited to provide services at a national sport training center, event, or competition in Hawaii, if certain conditions are met. Requires out-of-state physicians to provide notice to the Hawaii medical board. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO LAND DEVELOPMENT.

Requires DLNR to allocate revenues from commercial properties within the Banyan Drive redevelopment area to the Banyan Drive Hawaii Redevelopment Agency. Appropriates funds to the Agency for conducting environmental impact and other studies. Requires matching funds from the County of Hawaii. (SB914 HD1)

RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR.

RELATING TO SCHOOLS.

Establishes a Workforce Readiness Program within the Department of Education to allow students to graduate from an extended high school enrollment with an industry-recognized associate's degree to complement the student's high school diploma. Appropriates moneys to develop and implement the program, including (2.0) FTE Educational Specialist II staff positions and (7.0) FTE District Office Teachers. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)

RELATING TO THE STADIUM AUTHORITY.

Establishes the Stadium Development District. Requires HCDA to facilitate the development of all state property within the District. Appropriates funds and authorizes the issuance of reimbursable general obligation bonds to establish and develop the District. Authorizes the issuance of general obligation bonds to build a new stadium. (SB997 HD1)
