RELATING TO COMMUNITY MEETINGS.

Exempts members of a county council from the limitation on the number of members that may attend an informational meeting or presentation on matters relating to official board business, including a meeting of another entity, legislative hearing, convention, seminar, or community meeting. Clarifies that such meetings shall be meetings that are open to the public for purposes of permitted interactions. Takes effect on 7/1/2050. (SD1)

Prohibits the planting of large trees along evacuation routes and requires the Hawaii Emergency Management Agency to identify large trees along evacuation routes and trim, spray, or remove large trees if the trees have the potential to obstruct the evacuation route. RELATING TO AN APPROPRIATION FOR A KUNIA WELLS IV EXPLORATORY WELL.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Land and Natural Resources for the Board of Water Supply to offset the design and construction costs for one of four exploratory wells proposed by the Board of Water Supply for the proposed Kunia wells IV pump station to meet future potable water requirements for growth, including diversified agriculture.
