RELATING TO DENTAL LICENSURE.

Expands the required qualifications that applicants may fulfill as part of the requirements for dental licensure to include passage of any other nationally recognized clinical dental examination recommended by the American Dental Association and dental licensure in another state; provided that the applicant meets specific qualifications. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION.

Requires the Auditor to contract with a suitable entity to conduct a study of closed claims in the workers' compensation system, including the processing time for closed claims. Amends the deadline for completion of the study and the deadline for the legislative report. Appropriates funds for the study. (SB1236 HD1)

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Requires the strategic plan developed by the Hawaii Interagency Council for Transit-oriented Development to require that every development or redevelopment plan for any state property within one-half mile of the Honolulu rail transit system evaluate the suitability for affordable housing based on certain specifications, unless the council determines that housing is not feasible or desirable on a particular property. Allows a developer to build fewer housing units than required at one state parcel if the developer builds additional housing at another state parcel within one-half mile of a rail station to offset the reduction. RELATING TO VICTIMS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE.

Requires health insurance coverage for case management services by qualified mental health providers for victims of sexual violence and abuse. Takes effect on 6/1/2050. (SD2)
