RELATING TO SOCIAL WORK.

Requires the department of public safety, or its successor agency, in collaboration with the department of human services, to develop and establish a social work training program to assist nonviolent incarcerated individuals in the area of social work. RELATING TO PAID SICK LEAVE.

RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Land and Natural Resources for the Community Fuels Reduction Project. Beginning with fiscal year 2025-2026, and each fiscal year thereafter, requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to establish the Community Fuels Reduction Project as a separate line item within the Department's budget. RELATING TO MEDIA LITERACY.

Authorizes school complexes to incorporate media literacy in its standards-based curriculum, including content that prevents negative impacts of misinformation, disinformation, digital discrimination, and online hate speech. Repeals certain requirements related to standards-based curriculum. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE COMMUNITY COURT OUTREACH PROJECT.

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Establishes permitting and education requirements for pharmacists performing certain diagnostic tests or tests waived pursuant to the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA). Expands the definition of "practice of pharmacy" to include the ordering and collection of specimens for certain diagnostic-related or CLIA-waived tests. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD2)

RELATING TO THE RESIDENTIAL LANDLORD-TENANT CODE.

Allows a landlord or landlord's agent to charge an application screening fee for certain applicants at the time a rental application is processed for residential property. Requires the landlord or landlord's agent to provide a receipt for payment of the application screening fee and a breakdown of the application screening fee. Requires the landlord or landlord's agent to return any unauthorized fee amounts to the applicant. Requires, on 5/1/2024, the office of consumer protection to produce and make available informational materials and publicize requirements regarding application fees and related rights and obligations. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)
