RELATING TO NATURAL RESOURCES.

Requires the commission on water resource management and division of aquatic resources of the department of land and natural resources, in partnership with the University of Hawaiʻi and department of health, to conduct research on limu to understand the impacts of groundwater use on groundwater-dependent ecosystems. RELATING TO COFFEE LABELING.

Expands the coffee labeling and advertising requirements to include ready-to-drink coffee beverages and inner packages and inner wrapping labels. Requires disclosure on the label of coffee blends of the respective geographic and regional origins and per cent by weight of the blended coffees. Prohibits use of the term "All Hawaiian" in labeling or advertising for roasted coffee or instant coffee not produced entirely from green coffee beans grown and processed in Hawaiʻi.

RELATING TO INDIVIDUAL SPORTS.

Allows home-schooled, high school-age students to participate as unattached competitors in individual sports available to the public school that the student would otherwise be required to attend.

RELATING TO KALO FARMING.

Establishes a GET exemption for the gross proceeds from the sale of machinery, fuel, chemicals, seed, huli, animals, or feed to a qualified farmer and directly related to the qualified farmer's kalo farming operations. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, requires the department of education to include financial literacy in the personal transition plan requirement for each student. RELATING TO FARM ANIMALS.

Beginning no later than 1/1/2025: requires farm owners or operators to confine egg-laying hens in accordance with certain standards, with exceptions; prohibits a business owner or operator from selling shell eggs or egg products that are produced by egg-laying hens that were confined in a manner that violates certain standards, with exceptions; and requires the department of agriculture to certify a business owner or operator who sells shell eggs or egg products within the State.

RELATING TO THE CONVEYANCE TAX.
