RELATING TO ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE.

Establishes an outreach program in the department of health to inform physicians and appropriate non-physician practitioners participating in medicare that comprehensive care planning services for those with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias is a covered benefit under medicare.

RELATING TO FOOD DONATION.

RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Expands the certification incentive program to include speech pathologists. Clarifies school eligibility requirements. Adds an additional temporary bonus for teachers and speech pathologists who continue to be employed at a school that has transitioned out of the incentive program's eligibility criteria. RELATING TO PROTECTIVE ORDERS.

Permits a law enforcement officer to search a person convicted of violating certain temporary restraining orders or protective orders, including the person's motor vehicle and the person's residence, for firearms without obtaining a search warrant if the law enforcement officer has reason to believe acts of abuse, malicious property damage, or harassment by the person are imminent. Specifies that a seized firearm shall not be used for a subsequent conviction if the original search lacked probable cause but authorizes law enforcement to maintain the firearm until the registered owner can prove the firearm will be safely stored.

RELATING TO LONG TERM CARE.

Requires the executive office on aging to report on its assessment of progress made toward the reported goals of the long term care commission and make recommendations as needed to accomplish these goals. Appropriates funds. Effective 12/31/2059. (HD1)

RELATING TO SEA LEVEL RISE.

Directs the Hawaii Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation Commission to address areas already impacted by sea level rise, identify vulnerable critical public infrastructure, create a plan for mitigating and adapting to sea level rise, and provide policy direction to the legislature on funding and strategies to address the impacts of climate change on the State. Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO AGRICULTURE.

Appropriates funds for the GoFarm Hawaii program. Requires GoFarm Hawaii to provide the Chairperson of the Board of Agriculture with an annual report of the program's goals and a semi-annual report outlining program outputs and outcomes. Effective July 1, 2150. (HD1)
