RELATING TO FIRE PROTECTION.

Notwithstanding a collective bargaining agreement or executive policy in effect on and after 7/1/2028, requires that an employer of firefighters maintains its fire staffing service at a level of not less than four on-duty firefighters in each company. Takes effect 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO THE HAWAII TOURISM AUTHORITY.

Repeals the exemption of the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority from administrative supervision of boards and commissions. Transfers certain functions relating to cultural grants from the Hawaiʻi Tourism Authority to the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT.

RELATING TO THE RENTAL HOUSING REVOLVING FUND.

Appropriates funds into and out of the Rental Housing Revolving Fund to provide loans or grants for mixed-income rental projects or units in mixed-income rental projects for qualifying individuals and families. Appropriates funds for an unspecified number of finance specialist positions to assist with these loans and grants. Declares that the general fund expenditure ceiling is exceeded. Effective 7/1/3000. RELATING TO HOMELESSNESS.

Establishes a vacated homeless encampment clean up task force to identify parcels of land that require intergovernmental coordination to clean up vacated homeless encampments located on lands managed by government agencies, including but not limited to the United States Army Garrison Hawaiʻi, and execute a memorandum of understanding to clean up vacated homeless encampments located on the identified parcels.
