RELATING TO WEAPONS.

Requires the Department of the Attorney General to publish annual reports regarding certain protective and restraining orders, firearms, and electric guns. Authorizes persons subject to certain protective and restraining orders to possess or control firearms, ammunition, or electric guns in the course of employment, subject to certain conditions. RELATING TO WINDSHIELD TINTING.

Lowers the level of light transmittance allowed on sun screening glazing on motor vehicle windows from thirty-five per cent to twenty per cent. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO VEHICLE NUMBER PLATES.

RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE.

Makes mandatory the suspension of the driver's license of a driver or registered owner of a vehicle for operating a motor vehicle without a motor vehicle insurance policy. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO STUDENT TRANSPORTATION.

Mandates Department of Education school bus contracts to require contractors to consider the use of smaller vehicles that do not require drivers to hold a commercial driver's license for routes with low ridership or specific geographical limitations, as determined by the Department, subject to certain conditions. RELATING TO THE CONTRACTOR REPAIR ACT.

Expands the required contents of a notice of claim of construction defect served on a contractor. Requires the claimant to provide actual evidence of the nature and cause of the construction defect and extent of necessary repairs along with the notice of claim. Amends the process and time frame for a claimant to accept a contractor's proposal to inspect and authorize the contractor to proceed with repairs. Limits the amount a claimant can recover if the claimant unreasonably rejects a contractor's proposal to inspect or an offer to remedy. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)
