RELATING TO LUNG CANCER.

Amends Act 162, SLH 2022, to extend the sunset date for the early lung cancer screening task force and extend the date for the task force to submit reports to the legislature. Appropriates funds. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO FIRE PREVENTION.

Appropriates funds to the Department of Land and Natural Resources for the Community Fuels Reduction Project. Beginning with fiscal year 2025-2026, and each fiscal year thereafter, requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to establish the Community Fuels Reduction Project as a separate line item within the Department's budget. RELATING TO RESIDENCE FOR TUITION PURPOSES.

Requires the tuition residency rules for the University of Hawaii to grant the resident tuition fee for enrollment at any University of Hawaii campus, including any community college, to adult or minor students who have obtained a Hawaii high school diploma or equivalent credential and are working toward their first undergraduate degree, under certain conditions. RELATING TO ADVANCED PRACTICE REGISTERED NURSES.

Authorizes advanced practice registered nurses to certify whether a person is totally disabled under the income tax code. Adds advanced practice registered nurses as primary providers in advance mental health care directives. Authorizes advanced practice registered nurses to make capacity determinations for purposes of advance mental health care directives. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)
