RELATING TO OCCUPATIONAL LICENSURE.

Establishes procedures and eligibility criteria for a privilege to practice public accountancy in this State for public accountants and certified public accountants licensed in another state with comparable education, examination, and experience requirements. Subjects all holders of a privilege to practice to the regulatory and enforcement jurisdiction of the Board of Accountancy. Sunsets on 6/30/2024.

RELATING TO THE ENVIRONMENT.

Prohibits the sale or distribution of consumer goods for which a deceptive claim about the recyclability of the product or packaging is made. Requires the department of health to collect data and issue a material characterization study on recyclable materials collected in the State. Establishes standards for recyclability of products in the State. Prohibits the sale of any product that is labeled as compostable or biodegradable unless the product meets specified criteria.

RELATING TO VITAL STATISTICS.

Requires the department of health to issue a certificate of stillbirth, upon request of the parent or parents named on a fetal death certificate issued in the case of a stillbirth. Appropriates funds.

RELATED TO SUMMARY POSSESSION.

Requires that a current GET license number for any rental income be filed with the complaint to the court for summary possession proceedings. Requires the judiciary to submit an annual list of certain information regarding summary possession cases to the department of taxation.

RELATING TO GEOTHERMAL ROYALTIES.

Increases the percentage of royalties received by the State from geothermal resources that are to be paid to the county in which the geothermal resources are located. Requires the royalties paid to a county to be used for further geothermal resources discovery and development. Requires the county to submit an annual report to the legislature. Effective 7/1/2100. (HD1)

RELATING TO ONLINE FANTASY SPORTS.

Establishes an online fantasy sports contests registration and monitoring program under the department of the attorney general. Exempts registered online fantasy sports contests from state gambling laws. Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO INVASIVE SPECIES.

Requires DLNR to conduct a point-in-time count of feral cats per island by 6/30/23. Requires the invasive species council to develop and implement a program to effectively reduce the feral cat population in the State by 12/31/25. Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO FIREWORKS.

Establishes the 2022 illegal fireworks task force within the department of the attorney general to develop a comprehensive strategic plan to stop the importation of illegal fireworks and explosives into the State, promote compliance with the fireworks control law; and ensure the safety and security of airports, harbors, and other facilities and institutions in the State against the discharge of illegal fireworks and explosives. Requires a report to the legislature.
