Establishes a task force within the department of business, economic development, and tourism to study and recommend to the legislature the feasibility of authorizing controlled legalized gambling in the State, including offshore gambling and a state lottery system, to generate revenues for pay raises for teachers and police officers. Appropriates funds for the study.
Prohibits biologically born males from competing in any athletic program offered by a public high school that is designated for women or girls.
Requires the University of Hawaii economic research organization to conduct a comprehensive study and submit a report to the legislature about a policy approach that encourages manufacturers to take on the costs of end-of-life product management.
Updates the laws on agricultural cooperative associations and consumer cooperative associations including operations as resale agents and conversions.
Amends the name of the certificate of good standing issued by the department of commerce and consumer affairs to "certificate of registration."
