RELATING TO STUDENT TRANSPORTATION.

RELATING TO THE SEEKING OF ASSISTANCE.

Provides protections to individuals involved in the sex trade from the consequences under criminal law of disclosing their engagement or being identified as engaging in prostitution while in the course of seeking medical or law enforcement assistance.

RELATING TO EDUCATION.

RELATING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL.

Requires the department of transportation to authorize state and county traffic projects to make changes, as necessary, to traffic flow and mitigation efforts. Prohibits contractors from charging additional fees to amend traffic flow and safety or mitigation efforts. Requires the department of transportation to make a final determination on all changes to traffic flow and mitigation. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO CAPITAL GAINS.

Increases the capital gains tax threshold from 7.25 per cent to 9 per cent. Increases the alternative capital gains tax for corporations from 4 per cent to 5 per cent. Applies to tax years beginning after 12/31/2022. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Requires health insurers, mutual benefit societies, and health maintenance organizations to provide coverage for medication used for the treatment of obesity or weight loss management for a covered individual who is overweight and has one or more related comorbidities.

RELATING TO RECIDIVISM REDUCTION.

Authorizes the Hawaiʻi paroling authority to award credits to parolees for compliance with the terms and conditions of parole supervision that accordingly reduce the overall term of parole supervision.

RELATING TO REPRODUCTIVE CARE.

Establishes the Hawaiʻi reproductive care workforce special fund to be administered by the department of health to support programs that train health care professionals, increase the State's capacity to provide reproductive care services, increase access to reproductive care services in rural and remote areas, provide financial assistance to certain students at the University of Hawaiʻi, and project reproductive care workforce needs. Appropriates funds.

RELATING TO EQUAL PAY.

Conforms statutory prohibitions against wage discrimination with other prohibitions on employment discrimination. Clarifies allowable justifications for compensation differentials and remedies for pay disparity. Requires employers to disclose wage ranges to employees and prospective employees. Exempts wage disclosure and discussion from the prohibitions on employer retaliation or discrimination if knowledge of the wages stems from human resources, payroll, or legal professional responsibilities in the workplace.
