RELATING TO COMMERCIAL DRIVER'S LICENSES.

Repeals the requirement that a person only operates category 3 vehicles to qualify to drive commercially in the State. Repeals the requirement that an application for a commercial driver's license or commercial learner's permit include intrastate driver certification. Requires the department of transportation to amend its rules, and makes conforming statutory amendments, to lower the minimum age required for a commercial driver's license. Effective 1/1/2050. RELATING TO STATE PARKS.

Requires the department of land and natural resources to conduct a feasibility study on a revenue-generating and management system of user fees for Hawaii's state parks and to submit a report to the legislature. Effective 7/1/2050. (HD1)

RELATING TO SEXUAL ABUSE OF MINORS.

Expands the time period by which a civil action for childhood sexual abuse may be initiated, including an otherwise timebarred action. Adopts certain procedural requirements prior to the filing of a civil action for childhood sexual abuse or naming of "Doe" defendants. Authorizes a court to require personnel of legal entities to undergo training on traumainformed response. Effective 7/1/2060. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE ENVIRONMENT.

Prohibits lodging establishments from providing personal care products in small plastic bottles within sleeping room accommodations, any space within sleeping room accommodations, or bathrooms used by the public or guests. Establishes fines and civil penalties. Effective 7/1/2050. (HD2)

RELATING TO ENERGY.

RELATING TO EQUITABLE DISTRIBUTION OF GROW OUR OWN RESOURCES FOR HAWAIIAN IMMERSION TEACHERS.

Establishes a stipend program to be administered by DOE for students enrolled in a teacher education program at UH and who agree to teach in the public school system for five years. Establishes a similar stipend program to be administered by the state public charter school commission for students enrolled in a teacher education program at UH and who agree to teach in a public charter school for five years. Gives preference to teachers who choose to teach in a Hawaiian immersion school. Appropriates funds. Effective 7/1/2050. (HD1)
