RELATING TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING.

Requires reservation of a percentage of units in a housing development on public land or real property in a county-designated transitoriented development zone and under the control of the Board of Land and Natural Resources, the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation, or the Hawaii Community Development Authority for low-income residents. Limits allowable transfer of interest in the real property to a developer to transfer of only leasehold interest. (HB2142 HD1)

RELATING TO INTOXICATING LIQUOR.

Includes distilled beverages containing spirits and added blending materials that contain less than twelve per cent of alcohol by volume in the cooler beverage definition. Deletes definition of draft beer. Applies the tax rate on draft beer to all beer. (HB2412 HD1)

RELATING TO THE INTERNATIONAL MOON BASE ALLIANCE.

Promotes the space industry in Hawaii by creating an International Moon Base Alliance to provide recommendations and guidance for the establishment of a prototype moon base on the island of Hawaii. (HB2706 HD1)

RELATING TO VACANT LANDS.

Establishes a pilot project to identify vacant Department of Transportation parcels within the State and to propose uses for those parcels to deter crime and benefit the community. Requires a report to the Legislature. (HB2647 HD1)

RELATING TO HOUSING.

Requires landlords, who rent more than five dwelling units in a multi-family residential structure to unrelated families, to rent a minimum of twenty-five per cent of the dwelling units to extremely low-income families. Provides for exceptions.

RELATING TO NUISANCES.

Requires the Department of Health to examine all feral bird and pigeon nuisance complaints. Requires the Department to order or carry out actions to abate, destroy, remove, or prevent the nuisance and clean the filth resulting from a feral bird or pigeon nuisance. (HB1909 HD1)

RELATING TO MEDICAL CANNABIS.

Medical Cannabis Omnibus Bill. Extends the time that a qualifying patient's certification is valid. Acknowledges patient-relationship in practice of telehealth. Allows for safe inhalation of cannabis products in prescribed devices. Increases the tetrahydrocannabinol limit per package. Exempts background checks of employees under certain conditions. Establishes a reciprocity program for visiting patients.

RELATING TO CHILD SUPPORT.

Requires certain amounts of child support moneys collected by the Department of Human Services (DHS) for public assistance for a child to pass through to the family receiving the public assistance. Requires DHS to disregard passed through child support payments when determining the needs of an applicant for or recipient of public assistance. (HB2022 HD1)
