Provides certain rights to sexual assault survivors with regards to the testing of sexual assault evidence collection kits. Requires the Attorney General to provide the Legislature with an initial report prior to the 2018 Regular Session on law enforcement's progress to implement the guidelines for mandatory testing requirements. Permits an employee to take family leave to seek safety, medical attention, or victim services related to domestic or sexual violence against the employee or the employee's minor child. Specifies certification and confidentiality requirements. (HB678 HD1)
Imposes an excise tax on e-liquid sold by a wholesaler or dealer. Requires retailers engaged in the retail sale of cigarettes, tobacco products, electronic smoking devices, or eliquid to obtain a retail tobacco permit. Increases the license fee for wholesalers or dealers of these products. Increases the retail tobacco permit fee for retailers of these products. Effective January 1, 2018. (HB246 HD1)
Expands the range of manufactured medical marijuana products that may be produced and sold to include certain edible products. Authorizes eight companies to partner with medical marijuana dispensaries to produce manufactured marijuana products, subject to certain conditions. Establishes requirements for manufacturing, handling, and packaging manufactured marijuana products.
Amends the definition of eligible project loan to include rent-to-own housing. Requires HHFDC to implement the Homebuyer's Club and Rent-to-own Housing Programs. Authorizes the issuance of revenue bonds to finance HHFDC programs.
