RELATING TO FALSE CLAIMS.

Makes it a class C felony to make false, fictitious, or fraudulent claims against the government. Disqualifies a person convicted of making a false, fictitious, or fraudulent claim from holding elected office for five years. Takes effect 3/22/2075. (SD1)

RELATING TO FRAUD.

Establishes the offense of fraud as a class B felony. Disqualifies a person charged with fraud from holding elected office for ten years. Takes effect 3/22/2075. (SD1)

RELATING TO CAMPAIGN FUNDS.

Disallows a ballot issue committee to donate surplus funds to a community service, educational, youth, recreational, charitable, scientific, or literary organization. Disallows the use of campaign funds to purchase up to two tickets for an event or fundraiser held by another candidate or committee. Allows a candidate, treasurer, or candidate committee to make contributions to another candidate in an amount of not more than $2,000 per election period. Takes effect 3/22/2075. (SD1)

RELATING TO PUBLIC CORRUPTION.

Specifies that a person convicted of the offense of bribery shall be sentenced to pay a fine of up to $250,000, in addition to a sentence of imprisonment or probation. Requires the Commission on Salaries to consider certain factors to retain qualified individuals and deter corruption and bribery. Amends the effective dates of recommended salary increases. Effective 6/30/3000. (SD1)

RELATING TO MOORING LINES.

Requires that the securing of mooring lines from vessels requiring tug assistance to commercial docks, wharves, piers, quays, and landings be performed by a stevedoring company. Defines "stevedoring company". Effective 7/1/2050. (SD1)

RELATING TO FIREARMS.

Prohibits firearms in certain locations and premises and provides for enhanced sentencing. Requires possession and disclosure of a license to carry. Prohibits leaving an unsecured firearm in a vehicle unattended. Prohibits consuming or being under the influence of alcohol, an intoxicating liquor, or a controlled substance when carrying a firearm. Prohibits carrying or possessing firearms on certain private property open to the public without express authorization. Requires annual reports from the Department of the Attorney General on carry licenses. Amends the requirements for, and revocation of, firearms permits and licenses. Amends the disqualification of persons from owning, possessing, or controlling a firearm. Expands the qualified immunity for health care providers who provide information on firearms applicants to include physician assistants and advanced practice registered nurses. (SD1)
