RELATING TO THE WAGE AND HOUR LAW.

Amends the definition of "employee" in Hawaiʻi's wage and hour law by repealing the definition's categorical exclusion of any employee who receives guaranteed compensation totaling $2,000 or more a month. Effective 6/30/3000. (SD2)

RELATING TO WATER RESOURCES.

Appropriates funds as a grant-in-aid to the City and County of Honolulu Board of Water Supply to plan, design, and construct, after consultation with the Department of Health and the Commission on Water Resource Management, 7 monitoring wells and an exploratory well. RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

Repeals the cutoff date of Act 196, SLH 2018, that allowed the use of funds in the Condominium Education Trust Fund initially dedicated to support voluntary binding arbitration to be used for other educational purposes. Takes effect 7/1/2040. (SD1)

RELATING TO CONDOMINIUMS.

Part I: Requires the Real Estate Commission (Commission) to receive and investigate complaints by condominium unit owners against associations that are subject to condominium laws. Establishes a Condominium Ombudsman to receive and investigate complaints by condominium unit owners against the Commission regarding the Commission's foregoing duties. Requires the Condominium Ombudsman to issue findings within thirty business days after a complaint is filed. Part II: Prevents a simple majority of unit owners from immediately removing a director that was elected by cumulative voting during any regular or special meeting of an association. Takes effect 7/1/2491. (SD1)

RELATING TO SCHOOL SAFETY.

Requires the Department of Education to create emergency access plans for each Department school. Requires each Department school to have a comprehensive school evacuation communication plan for use during emergencies. Requires the Department of Education to collaborate with the Department of Transportation to assess all Department school campuses to determine if there are sufficient emergency evacuation routes for each campus and report to the Legislature. Declares that the general fund expenditure ceiling is exceeded. Appropriates funds. Effective 7/1/3000. (SD1)
