Establishes a joint task force to review policy issues and opportunities relating to the navigation, access, and coverage of medicaid services by individuals with autism or fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and make a recommendation on whether a waiver or other approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is necessary to ensure accessibility of certain services for individuals with autism or fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. Exempts medical and dental services provided by health care providers to patients who receive Medicaid, Medicare, or TRICARE benefits from the general excise tax. Applies to taxable years beginning after 12/31/2023. Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)
Increases the categories of women required to be covered for mammogram screenings. Requires the existing health insurance mandate for coverage of low-dose mammography to include digital mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis. Defines "digital breast tomosynthesis". Effective 6/30/3000. (HD1)
Establishes an income tax credit for the cost of upgrading or converting a qualified cesspool to a director of health-approved wastewater system or connecting to a sewerage system. Authorizes psychiatrists and advanced practice registered nurses to file a petition to initiate the administrative authorization process in cases where the patient objects to treatment and is not in the custody of the director or involuntarily committed to a psychiatric facility.
Prohibits a pet store operator from selling a dog, cat, or rabbit unless the dog, cat, or rabbit was obtained from certain humane sources.
Establishes the Alzheimer's working group to create a public health campaign for awareness of Alzheimer's disease and other related dementia. Appropriates funds.
Temporarily expands the state rent supplement program to specifically target qualified individuals who are sixty-two years of age or older and are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless.
