RELATING TO THE EMPLOYEES' RETIREMENT SYSTEM.

RELATING TO HAWAII RETIREMENT SAVINGS ACT.

Clarifies the definition of "covered employer" under the Hawaiʻi Retirement Savings Act. Requires covered employers to automatically enroll covered employees into the Hawaiʻi Retirement Savings Program unless the employee chooses to opt out. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

Allows state departments to participate in temporary employee interchanges with private sector organizations, including nonprofit and for-profit organizations. RELATING TO ENERGY RESILIENCY.

Requires full retail crediting for energy exports enrolled in grid services programs, whereby energy exported to the electrical grid past a participating customer-generator's point of common coupling from photovoltaic solar systems paired with battery storage as part of a utility-controlled grid service program would be credited at the full retail rate of electricity for the relevant time period. Effective 7/1/3000. (HD1)

RELATING TO HEALTH INSURANCE.

Prohibits a health insurer from requiring an insured diagnosed with stage two through stage five cancer to undergo step therapy prior to covering the insured for certain drugs prescribed by the insured's health care provider, under certain conditions.
