RELATING TO HIGHWAY BEAUTIFICATION.

Makes the motor vehicle registration fee for U-drive motor vehicles consistent with the fee for all other motor vehicles. Makes any county ordinance that increases a motor vehicle registration fee applicable to U-drive vehicles. (HB2177 HD1)

RELATING TO ENERGY TRAINING.

Requires UH community colleges to establish energy systems and technology training courses for county officers and employees responsible for permitting, inspecting, licensing, and approving construction projects and an advisory committee of industry stakeholders and to submit a report to the Legislature. RELATING TO FOOD DONATION.

Requires DOH to educate food establishments about liability protections. Expands liability protection for donors to include donations of food and similar donations made directly to needy persons. Authorizes the donation of expired food when the donor believes in good faith that the food remains fit for human consumption. (HB1806 HD1)

RELATING TO THE LOW-INCOME HOUSING TAX CREDIT.

Specifies that certain provisions of the Internal Revenue Code related to at-risk rules and deductions and to passive activity loss do not apply with respect to claims for the state low-income housing tax credit. Caps the state low-income housing tax credit at fifty per cent of the federal low-income housing tax credit. Takes effect on 07/01/2050. (SD1)
