Requires guards to meet mandatory instruction and training requirements within 60 days after hiring. Provides for first registration renewal no sooner than two years from initial registration. Prohibits the sale, offering for sale, or distribution of any sunscreen containing oxybenzone in the State, unless the sunscreen label contains a warning that the use of oxybenzone in nearshore waters poses serious hazards to coral and reef health.
Imposes a $20 per guest tax on users of transient accommodations for the purposes of funding conservation efforts.
Bans knowingly selling in the State personal care products containing oxybenzone or octinoxate, except for medically-licensed prescriptions. Takes effect on 10/1/2017.
Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to include in its annual report the impacts of incidental take license issuances on the status and likelihood of survival of the individual species and the cumulative impacts on the full range of species of the specific island for which incidental take licenses have been issued. Appropriates funds to the department to assess the cumulative effects and detail them in its annual report.
Increases the fines for violations for operating a vehicle after the person's license to operate the vehicle has been suspended or revoked for operating the vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant.
