RELATING TO EDUCATION.

Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, requires the department of education to include financial literacy in the personal transition plan requirement for each student. RELATING TO TOURISM.

Requires the School of Travel Industry Management of the University of Hawaii to conduct a study that assesses the tourism social carrying capacity for each of the islands of Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, Kauai, Lanai, and Molokai. Requires the School of Travel Industry Management to consult with the Department of Health and Department of Land and Natural Resources and allows the school to consult with other entities. RELATING TO WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT.

Requires the department of education to fully implement the farm to school program and farm to school meals program by the 20242025 school year. Provides that complex area superintendents have the authority to implement the farm to school and farm to school meals programs. Requires certain school cafeteria supervisors to report directly to complex area superintendents. Establishes school cafeteria supervisor positions.
