RELATING TO FIREWORKS.

Specifies that certain violations of the Fireworks Control Law shall be considered an activity that causes air pollution under the Hawaii Air Pollution Control Act and a violation of noise control rules under the Hawaii noise pollution laws, and punishable by civil penalties and subject to citations under those respective laws. Effective 1/1/2050. (HD2)

RELATING TO HEALTH.

Establishes a task force to review and recommend specific actions to ensure that Hawaii's food imports are sourced, transported, stored, and distributed in compliance with the Food Safety Modernization Act, and develops specific recommendations to ensure that all foods and brands imported into Hawaii do not mislead or confuse the public. RELATING TO THE HAWAII SCHOOL FOR THE DEAF AND BLIND.

Requires the department of education to develop a plan to transition the Hawaii School for the Deaf and Blind to a conversion charter school. Requires a conversion charter school to enroll a student if the student's individualized education program prescribes that the charter school provides support for blind, deaf, or hard of hearing students. Effective 7/1/2050. (HD1)

RELATING TO THE STATE BUILDING CODE COUNCIL.

Requires the state building code council to make determinations on the financial impact, including the impact on amortized utility costs, of the adoption of a code or standard on single-family and multi-family homes and include the determinations in its annual reports to the governor. Effective 1/1/2050. (HD1)
