A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 2 of Title 20 of the O.C.G.A., relating to elementary and secondary education, so as to provide for limitations on waiver and variance requests by local school systems requesting flexibility; to remove the requirement that local school systems requesting flexibility must select at least one waiver or variance request from a prescribed list of options; to provide for certain conditions upon local charter schools and the individual schools of charter school systems; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 31-9-6.1 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to disclosure of certain information to persons undergoing certain surgical or diagnostic procedures, failure to comply, exceptions, and regulations establishing standards for implementation, so as to prohibit certain examinations on an anesthetized or unconscious patient without prior informed consent; to provide that informed consent shall be deemed valid consent for other medical personnel under certain conditions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 16-11-172 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to transfers or purchases of firearms subject to the NICS, information concerning persons who have been involuntarily hospitalized to be forwarded to the FBI, penalties for breach of confidentiality, and exceptions, so as to prohibit the transfer or purchase of a firearm in proximity of a school safety zone or hospital; to provide for definitions; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
