A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 6 of Chapter 7 of Title 47 of the O.C.G.A., relating to retirement, retirement allowances, disability benefits, and death benefits relative to the Georgia Firefighter's Pension Fund, so as to provide for certain members to retire at age 50; to amend Article 7 of Chapter 20 of Title 47 of the O.C.G.A., the "Public Retirement Systems Investment Authority Law," so as to provide for an exception for the Georgia Firefighters' Pension Fund to invest in assets rated below investment grade; to provide for related matters; to provide conditions for an effective date and automatic repeal; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 40-2-85.1 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to license plates for certain veterans, so as to increase the number of free license plates issued to certain veterans; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 2 of Title 21 of the O.C.G.A., relating to elections and primaries generally, so as to establish the Election Equipment Specifications and Standards Committee to establish the specifications, standards, and requirements for a new uniform system of election equipment; to provide for reporting; to provide for the extent to which the Secretary of State is authorized to provide for the selection, certification, or procurement of the new uniform system of election equipment; to declare certain actions void and ultra vires; to amend an Act relating to elections and primaries approved May 6, 2024 (Ga. A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 8 of Title 48 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to sales and use taxes, so as to require that any existing special district option sales and use tax (FLOST) cease to be imposed and levied immediately prior to the imposition of any local homestead option sales tax (LHOST) within the special district conterminous with the same county; to revise the timing for the commencement of the LHOST; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to provide for a homestead exemption from Cherokee County school district ad valorem taxes for educational purposes, through tax year 2031, in an amount equal to the amount by which the current year assessed value of a homestead exceeds the adjusted base year assessed value of such homestead; to provide for definitions; to specify the terms and conditions of the exemption and the procedures relating thereto; to provide for related matters; to provide for applicability; to provide for compliance with constitutional requirements; to provide for a referendum, effective dates, automatic repeal, mandatory execution of election, and judicial remedies regarding failure to comply; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 40-2-86 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to license plates promoting or supporting certain agencies, funds, or nonprofit corporations with proceeds disbursed to the general fund and the agency, fund, or nonprofit corporation, so as to establish a specialty license plate honoring Girl Scouts of Georgia; to establish a specialty plate honoring the 250th anniversary of the United States of America's independence; to provide for related matters; to provide for compliance with constitutional requirements; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
