State Representative "Able" Mable Thomas Intersection; Fulton County; dedicate

Maddy summaryThis is a commemorative resolution (not a substantive bill) designating an intersection in Fulton County in honor of former Georgia State Representative "Able" Mable Thomas. It directs the Georgia Department of Transportation to erect signs marking the intersection of State Route 3 and State Route 8 as the "State Representative 'Able' Mable Thomas Intersection." The resolution recognizes her lifelong advocacy for racial justice and community leadership in Atlanta's Vine City neighborhood, where she was born, raised, and served as a legislator. The change affects the physical location and signage, with no direct impact on laws or policies for residents.
