Georgia Unemployment Insurance Working Group Act; enact

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 3 of Chapter 8 of Title 34 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to administration of employment security, so as to provide for the appointment, compensation, and meetings of the Georgia Unemployment Insurance Working Group; to require the working group to examine this state's unemployment insurance program and provide its recommendations in the form of a report; to provide for automatic repeal; to provide for a short title; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

Atlanta, City of; Independent School District ad valorem tax exemption; remove sunset date

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend an Act providing a homestead exemption from City of Atlanta Independent School District ad valorem taxes for educational purposes in the amount of $15,000.00 of the assessed value of the homestead for residents of that school district, approved May 4, 1992 (Ga. L. 1992, p. 7003), as amended, particularly by an Act approved May 8, 2018 (Ga. L. 2018, p. 4167), so as to remove the sunset date for such exemption; to provide for compliance with constitutional requirements; to provide for a referendum, effective dates, and automatic repeal; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
