Equal Opportunity for Access in Education Act; enact

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Part 14 of Article 6 of Chapter 2 of Title 20 of the O.C.G.A., relating to other educational programs under the "Quality Basic Education Act," so as to authorize home study students in grades six through 12 to participate in extracurricular and interscholastic activities in the student's resident public school system; to provide that home study students shall complete one qualifying online course in a core academic subject facilitated by the resident school system for each semester of the regular school year during any part of which the home study student participates in an extracurricular or interscholastic activity; to amend Code Section 20-2-690 of the O.C.G.A., relating to educational entities and requirements for private schools and home study programs, so as to provide parents and guardians authority to execute documents for verification purposes; to provide for a short title; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

Public utilities and public transportation; retail sale of electricity; provisions

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 2 of Title 46 and Article 6 of Chapter 13 of Title 48 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to the Public Service Commission and excise tax on sale or use of energy, respectively, so as to provide that those who are engaged in the retail sale of electricity to the public for the purpose of charging the batteries of electric vehicles shall not be subject to the authority and jurisdiction of the commission; to impose an excise tax on such sales; to provide for procedures and the disposition of proceeds; to provide for a resale exemption or refund; to provide for rules and regulations; to provide for related matters; to provide for an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.

Pay As You Earn Education Program Act; enact
