State Land Management; Citing this act as the “State Park Preservation Act”; requiring public hearings for all updated conservation and nonconservation land management plans; requiring the Division of Recreation and Parks of the Department of Environmental Protection to comply with specified provisions when granting certain privileges, leases, concessions, and permits; requiring that individual management plans for parcels located within state parks be developed and updated with input from an advisory group, etc.

Spectrum Alert; Requiring the Department of Law Enforcement, in cooperation with the Department of Transportation, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the Department of the Lottery, and local law enforcement agencies, to establish and implement the Spectrum Alert by a specified date; requiring the department, in cooperation with specified entities, to develop a training program and alert system for missing children with autism spectrum disorder which is compatible with existing alert systems by a certain date, etc. APPROPRIATION: $190,000

Disability History and Awareness Instruction; Citing this act as the "Evin B. Hartsell Act"; requiring the Department of Education to develop specified curricula; authorizing the department to consult with the Evin B. Hartsell Foundation to further develop such curricula, etc.

Human Trafficking Awareness; Requiring the Department of Education to identify a curriculum regarding human trafficking awareness; specifying required components of the curriculum; authorizing in-person or online training; requiring public schools to require that certain personnel have received certain training, etc.

Tampering with an Electronic Monitoring Device; Reclassifying the offense of tampering with an electronic monitoring device to provide graduated penalties; requiring termination of pretrial release of a person who tampers with such a device while on pretrial release, etc.

Gulf of America; Requiring state agencies to update geographic materials to reflect the new federal designation of the “Gulf of Mexico” as the “Gulf of America”; requiring that specified materials and collections adopted or acquired by district school boards and charter school governing boards on or after a specified date reflect the new federal designation of the “Gulf of Mexico” as the “Gulf of America”, etc.

Graduate Program Admissions; Requiring an institution of higher education to waive certain examination requirements for a servicemember who applies for admission to a graduate program that requires such examination, etc.

History of Communism; Requiring instruction in public schools on the history of communism; creating the Institute for Freedom in the Americas at Miami Dade College; renaming the Adam Smith Center for the Study of Economic Freedom as the Adam Smith Center for Economic Freedom; requiring the Department of State, in collaboration with the Department of Education, to consult with stakeholders to provide a recommendation to the Legislature by a specified date for the creation of a museum of the history of communism, etc.
