Firearms; Requiring the Department of Law Enforcement to include on a standard form certain questions concerning a potential firearm buyer’s or transferee’s criminal history and other information relating to the person’s eligibility to make the firearm purchase; requiring the department to notify certain law enforcement agencies when a potential sale or transfer receives a nonapproval number; prohibiting the sale or transfer, or facilitation of a sale or transfer, of a firearm to a person younger than a certain age by any person or entity, etc.
Electric Vehicle Charging Stations; Requiring the Department of Transportation, in coordination with the Office of Energy within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and the Florida Clean Cities Coalitions, or other appropriate entities, to develop and adopt by a specified date a master plan for electric vehicle charging stations on the state highway system, etc.
Charter Schools; Revises provisions relating to charter schools, high-performing charter schools, educational facilities, virtual instruction programs, career & professional academies, & exceptional student education centers.
Driver Licenses and Identification Cards; Requiring proof of a specified identification number for certain applicants for a driver license; deleting a provision authorizing the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles to require applicants to produce certain documents from the United States Department of Homeland Security for certain purposes; prohibiting a licensee from obtaining a duplicate or replacement instruction permit or driver license, renewing a driver license, or changing his or her name or address, respectively, except upon submission of specified identification documents under certain circumstances, etc.
Corporate Income Taxes; Repealing a provision relating to corporate income taxes imposed, automatic refunds, and downward adjustments of such tax rates, etc.
Residential Tenancies; Prohibiting a landlord from evicting a tenant or terminating a residential rental agreement because the tenant is a victim of actual or threatened domestic violence, dating violence, sexual violence, or stalking; authorizing a victim of such actual or threatened violence or stalking to terminate a residential rental agreement without penalty by providing written notice of intent to terminate the agreement and to vacate the premises; specifying that a tenant does not forfeit any deposit money or advance rent paid to the landlord for terminating a rental agreement under certain circumstances, etc.
Relief/Rafael Rodriguez/Hendry County Hospital Authority; Provides for relief of Rafael Rodriguez by Hendry County Hospital Authority; provides appropriation to compensate Rafael Rodriguez for injuries sustained from Hendry County Hospital Authority employee negligence; provides limitation on attorney fees. Prescription Drug Price Transparency; Citing this act as the “Prescription Drug Price Transparency Act”; authorizing specified pharmacies and pharmacists to contract with pharmacy benefit managers; requiring group health plans, health insurers, and certain pharmacy benefit managers to base plan beneficiaries’ and insureds’ coinsurance obligations for certain prescription drugs on specified drug prices; requiring pharmacy benefit managers to allow insurers, health maintenance organizations, and payors access to specified records, data, and information, etc.
