Florida Working Families Tax Rebate Program; Creating the Florida Working Families Tax Rebate Program within the Department of Revenue for a certain purpose; granting specified people and households certain state funds if they received a tax credit under the federal Earned Income Tax Credit program and meet certain criteria; specifying the calculation of the rebate and procedures for disbursing funds, etc. APPROPRIATION: $510,000,000
Voting Conflicts; Revising requirements for the disclosure of voting conflicts by specified public officers, etc.
Detained or Housed Unaccompanied Minors; Imposing requirements on state agencies, and entities that contract with a state agency, which provide services, or coordinate with the Federal Government to provide services, relating to the detention of unaccompanied minors in this state; providing requirements for the Children and Youth Cabinet, etc.
Sunshine Scholarship Program; Establishing the Sunshine Scholarship Program; requiring the Department of Education to administer the program; requiring certain financial aid to be credited to a student’s tuition and fees before the award of a Sunshine Scholarship; requiring a student to repay the scholarship amount under certain circumstances, etc.
Native Language Assessment in Public Schools; Provides for the administration of certain assessments in specified language under certain circumstances; authorizes students of limited English choose to have certain assessments administered in their native language or English; provides DOE & SBE duties relating to assessments in native languages.
Wage and Employment Benefits Requirements; Repealing a provision relating to restrictions on the establishment of minimum wage and employment benefits requirements by political subdivisions, etc.
Instructional Personnel and Educational Support Employee Pay Raise Initiative; Establishing the Instructional Personnel and Educational Support Employee Pay Raise Initiative and providing its purpose; requiring that the initiative be funded at a level sufficient to provide a specified annual salary increase for all instructional personnel and educational support employees, plus a specified cost-of-living adjustment, beginning in a specified fiscal year and continuing through a specified fiscal year, etc.
Conversion Therapy; Prohibiting a person who is licensed to provide professional counseling or a practitioner who is licensed under provisions regulating the practice of medicine, osteopathic medicine, psychology, clinical social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling from practicing or performing conversion therapy for an individual who is younger than a specified age; providing that such licensee or practitioner is subject to disciplinary proceedings by the Department of Health and the appropriate board under certain circumstances, etc.
