911 Public Safety Telecommunicators; Revising the definition of “first responder” to include 911 public safety telecommunicators; expanding eligibility for certain workers’ compensation benefits for first responders to include 911 public safety telecommunicators; revising criteria in the Special Risk Class of the Florida Retirement System to include members employed as 911 public safety telecommunicators; requiring such members to have their retirement benefits calculated in accordance with provisions for Regular Class members; declaring that the act fulfills an important state interest, etc.
Student Identification Cards; Requiring school principals to ensure that crisis prevention hotline and text line numbers and behavioral health hotline and text line numbers are printed on the back of student identification cards, etc.
Public Records/Court Records of Eviction Proceedings; Exempting a defendant’s name that has been removed from the progress docket and certain sealed records relating to eviction proceedings from public records requirements; providing a statement of public necessity, etc.
Medication Technicians; Defining the term “medication technician”; providing minimum requirements and specifications for training of medication technicians, etc.
White Nationalism and White Supremacy; Rejecting and condemning white nationalism and white supremacy as hateful expressions of intolerance which contradict the values that define the people of Florida and the United States, etc.
Fees/Genetic Counselor Licenses; Requiring the Department of Health to adopt by rule procedures for the issuance and annual renewal of genetic counselor licenses, including a specified application fee; authorizing the department to waive payment of the fee by rule; providing for the deposit and use of fee proceeds, etc.
Internship Tax Credit Program; Specifying the order in which the Florida Internship Tax Credit Program corporate income tax credit created by this act is applied; requiring certain claimed tax credit amounts to be added to a taxpayer’s adjusted federal income; designating the “Florida Internship Tax Credit Program”; providing a corporate income tax credit for qualified businesses employing student interns if certain criteria are met, etc.
Measurement of Student Performance; Requiring the Commissioner of Education to annually provide learning growth data calculated in accordance with a certain formula to school districts by a specified date, etc.
Reporting of School Safety Issues; Citing this act as the "Parents Need to Know Act"; requiring data from a specified hotline to be included in a certain centralized integrated data repository; requiring the Office of Safe Schools to establish and operate a hotline for specified purposes; requiring threat assessment teams to report all threats and incidents to the school principal; establishing the Safe Schools Grant Program; providing for funding and administration of the program, etc.
