Violent Offenses Committed Against Criminal Defense Attorneys; Providing for the reclassification of specified offenses committed against criminal defense attorneys, etc.
Blood Clot and Pulmonary Embolism Policy Workgroup; Citing this act as the “Emily Adkins Prevention Act”; requiring the Secretary of Health Care Administration, in conjunction with the State Surgeon General, to establish a blood clot and pulmonary embolism policy workgroup; requiring the secretary to submit a final report to the Governor and the Legislature by a specified date, etc.
Domestic Violence; Citing this act as "Greyson’s Law"; requiring the court with jurisdiction over the proceeding to consider certain factors in deciding whether shared parental responsibility is detrimental to the child; providing additional conduct regarding domestic violence which the court must consider when ordering a parenting plan; providing an additional factor that the court must consider in determining whether a petitioner of a domestic violence injunction is in imminent danger, etc.
Higher Educational Facilities Financing; Specifying when the term for a new appointee to the Higher Educational Facilities Financing Authority begins; authorizing the authority to conduct meetings and workshops by means of communications media technology; authorizing the authority to contract with an entity to assist with administrative matters; prohibiting the authority from entering into a financing agreement with a participating institution for a project if at the time the agreement is executed certain conditions exist, etc.
Public Records/Transportation and Protective Services; Providing an exemption from public records requirements for records held by a law enforcement agency relating to certain security or transportation services; providing for retroactive application; providing for legislative review and repeal of the exemption; providing a statement of public necessity, etc.
Missing Persons; Revising provisions concerning missing children and adults to include references to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System, etc.
Fees/Dog Breeders Registration and Renewal; Requiring dog breeders to pay registration and renewal fees in amounts to be determined by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; providing a limit on such fees; requiring the department to notify a certificateholder of the annual renewal fee by a specified date, etc.
Dog Breeders Trust Fund/Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; Creating the trust fund within the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services; providing the purpose of the trust fund and source of funds; requiring that the balance of the trust fund remain in the fund at the end of the year and be available for the purposes of the trust fund; providing for future review and termination or re-creation of the trust fund, etc.
Public Records/Personal Identifying Information of Certain Victims; Defining the term “victim”; exempting from public records requirements the personal identifying information of certain victims held by the Division of Emergency Management for a specified timeframe; providing for future legislative review and repeal of the exemption; providing a statement of public necessity, etc.
Photographic Evidence of Illegally Taken Wildlife, Freshwater Fish, and Saltwater Fish; Providing that digital copies of photographs of illegally taken wildlife, freshwater fish, or saltwater fish may be admissible as competent evidence in the prosecution of a violation of ch. 379, F.S., under certain circumstances; requiring that digital copies used as evidence be included in an investigating officer’s written report; requiring that the original photograph be presented upon request to a defendant or the court in either digital or printed form, etc.
